The recreational area is also home to a wonderful children's playground complete with swings, a large climb & slide jungle gym.
The Merrimac shares a block with the very popular Windrift restaurant/hotel. Connected to the 79th/80th street beach block you will find a total of 5 restaurants and 3 bars/lounges. If you venture a block further, you will find more restaurants, take-out seafood, a pizza shop and a market.
This location is within walking distance of Stone Harbor's quaint and charming 96th Street (Main Street) with numerous restaurants, shops, famous ice cream establishments and kids’ activities such as roof top mini golf, Movie Theater, etc.
