Summary: Should be 5 stars except for note below. We had a fantastic stay at Lakeside Leelanau for a week! The cottage is cozy with an incredible dining room with sunset views and lots of nice touches both inside and out to maximize your Northern Michigan experience. We stayed with our little ones and their grandparents and all parties had a blast. The location is so convenient to LeLand, Sleeping Bear, and Sutton’s bay. We love going to dinner at the Cove and soaking up the sun at Sutton’s Bay Beach. Access to the water right off the dock was fun for all parties as well. The vacation was wonderful and we will hold on to some treasured memories from this trip. NOTE: do not lock the doorknob to the garage as this is separate from the electronic keypad and will lock you out of the garage. THEN, the host will try to charge you for a locksmith to come out to open it as they do not have a key on property and the cleaning crew does not have one either. I had to escalate this to VRBO support. This is.not addressed in their check-in instructions.
