The kitchenette includes a refrigerator, microwave, toaster oven, crockpot, hot water kettle, coffee maker stocked with coffee pods, cream and sweeteners, as well as plates, glasses, silverware, a cutting board, and other essentials for preparing simple meals. You’ll also find Wi-Fi, access to Netflix, Hulu, and Prime Video, a blow dryer, steamer, luggage racks, extra linens, cozy blankets, and other thoughtful extras.
One of our guests’ favorite parts of staying here is simply exploring the farm. Wander the walking paths and open spaces while taking in beautiful mountain views in every direction. Discover a hillside dotted with majestic oaks, three hay fields, an orchard, a small vineyard, and creeks winding throughout the property. Keep an eye out for the wildlife that also calls Sweet Grass Farms home—you’ll often spot ducks, geese, songbirds, deer, and wild turkey.
Our friendly dogs roam freely during the day, happily accompanying us as we complete our farm chores. The chickens may also make an appearance as they follow along. While you’re welcome to enjoy the animals from guest areas, we kindly ask that guests do not enter fenced pastures or open gates.
Whether you’re sipping your morning coffee on the porch, exploring Southern Oregon’s wineries and outdoor adventures, or unwinding beneath a blanket of stars, The Bunkhouse offers a peaceful escape with all the comforts of home.

If you’d like to enjoy our animals during your stay:
1. The horse barn is open during the day and the horses love company. You’re welcome to pet the horses if they are in there. Please don’t open any stall doors or gates.
2. Chickens will likely come say hello as the welcoming crew. They roam from about 11am-5pm
Hillary Fluff, Henrietta, Loretta, Rosie and the leader is Chick Chick.
3. If the horses are out to pasture, they will be behind hot wire fence. Please be cautious. You can pet them thru or over the black gates. Please don’t open gates.
4. The donkey is Jackson. The two white minis are Henry and Hunter. The two bay horses are Kennedy and Cosmo and the Chestnut horse is April.
5. The pig is Enzo. He lives in the barn and is very friendly. He often roams free in the afternoons.
6. There is a 100 year old barn on property, directly across from the Bunkhouse. It’s the original homestead barn on Fern Valley for the Fern Family. We ask that you admire it from afar, we use it as storage and an office.
We produce our hay typically first week of May, early July and again late September. If you’re visiting during those times, you’ll see a lot of equipment moving in and out. There are times we are bailing our fields into the night. And during summer months there will be irrigation going thru the night.
