Welcome to the Covey Road Farmhouse! Our beautifully updated farmhouse is the serene up north getaway you are looking for! Sitting on 2 private acres, surrounded by tree-covered hills and orchards & offering beautiful sunset views! Our charming historic farmhouse has the true home-away-from-home feel. Ideal for families or small groups looking for a relaxing and peaceful getaway.
The Space:
Entering our home, you will come into our bright dining room! Seating up to 10 people between our large dining table and the kitchen island, you will have no shortage of space! Off the back of the dining room, you will find a conveniently located 1/2 bath and our laundry and mudroom for hanging sandy or snowy gear. Through the kitchen, you will find we provide you with all your basic needs! Including dining ware, coffee & coffee maker, cooking & baking supplies, new appliances, and many other essentials.
Behind the kitchen is our bright, open, and comfortable living room. Here is the TV with streaming options, games and toys, access to our relaxing front porch, and large windows that overlook our private setting.
Off the kitchen & living room you will find three bedrooms and a full bathroom.
Guests also have access to 3 car garage for storing gear.
We also have a picturesque barn and two seasonal outbuildings offering additional space. In summer only, “The Coop” has been converted to seasonal sleeping quarters with a queen and twin bed. The hangout shed, which dates back to the 1860’s, offers another great place to gather and have fun outside of the main house. We have a nice seating area & games for your group to enjoy! A huge fire pit surrounded by Adirondacks at the back of the property is the perfect place to end the day! Be sure to stay up to check out the breath-taking starry sky.
We are minutes from the famous M-22 Scenic route and many of Northern Michigan’s magical towns and waterways. The sites and tastes abound at Frankfort, Leelanau, Traverse City, and Glen Arbor to name a few. Take your pick of fabulous breweries, wineries, coffee houses, eateries, and shopping in many of the small towns or big cities.
Just a few minutes away from Sleeping Bear National Lakeshore and majestic Lake Michigan beaches as well as inland lakes such as Crystal and Platte Lake. Sport fishing abounds from your very own motorboat or charter fishing boats. Kayak along our Platte River from slow water to fast water with different trips for your experience. You may choose to kayak all the way to Lake Michigan in a day’s trip. Rentals are nearby or bring your own. Hiking is spectacular as well as miles and miles of paved biking trails. We are also 15 minutes from Crystal Mountain and cross country trails. Swim or hike at the lakeshore or ski and explore during the day and come back to your own private sanctuary in the evening.

The two barns (seasonal) offer guests extra space to enjoy & sleep! Please not these do not have plumbing, but they both have electricity.
This home invites you to bring your furry friend on your trip to Northern Michigan! Please know, we collect a $100 pet fee per pet. After you have confirmed your reservation, we ask that you message us to let us know you will be bringing your pet(s), and we will then send the additional charge over! We do not allow for any more than 2 pets per stay.
We have an EV charger in the garage- Level 2 EV charger outlet available in garage (bring your own cord).
