We invite your family to stay and make memories that will last a lifetime at our cottage with it's private sandy lakeshore while taking day trips to Traverse City, Leland, Empire, Crystal Mountain, Sleeping Bear Dunes, Frankfort, Glen Arbor, breweries & wineries. Getting back to nature is easy with the fire pit, fishing boat, dock, canoe, & kayaks. We like to unplug in the rec-room with a ping pong table, darts, game table, games, puzzles, the quiet screen room, or with a family movie night.
The cottage is located just outside a quiet historic village with a general store, pizzeria, ice cream shop, and a brewery centered around the village square with a park that has a great play area for kids. On Tuesday nights during the summer, the village hosts a classic car show. The brewery has a great atmosphere, great beer, and live music on their outdoor stage all summer long.
The neighborhood is quiet with a gravel road, birds singing and children playing in the lake are the sounds you’ll hear on a summer day at the cottage. You get all of the fun, sights, sounds, and activities of staying in a campground but you get a clean and private kitchen, and bathrooms, plus real beds to sleep in at night!
The main level of the house offers ramp entry to the main level entry and kitchen (side by side fridge with water and ice maker & dishwasher), dining room, deck overlooking the lake (BBQ grill & dining table), living room with a beautiful fieldstone wood-burning fireplace, master suite (queen bed) with tub and shower, 2nd (2 twins) and 3rd (bunk bed twins) bedrooms with shared full bath plus full-size laundry facilities. The main living area includes a queen size sofa bed and has double door walls going out to the deck and overlooking the lake. A large flat screen smart tv is centrally located in the dining and family room for watching your favorite movie with basic cable or simply sign in to your Netflix, PRIME or Hulu account.
The lower level offers a bonus family-style recreational room (with 2 queen size pull-out sofas), game table, ping pong table, extra refrigerator, flat-screen smart tv, and a gas fireplace. There are double door walls overlooking the lake with a screened-in porch (with a twin size porch bed) on one side and a porch swing overlooking the lake on the other. There is an iron patio set, lounge chair, and. BBQ grill on the deck.
On the lakeshore, your kids can play all day long in the lake and beach area. There are beach toys to make a sandcastle. The lake water is clean and clear and great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. There is an aluminum fishing boat, a canoe, and two kayaks. Feel free to enjoy the paddles, oars, fishing equipment, and life jackets during your stay.
There’s a bonfire pit at the edge of the woods and on the beach, a dock and the yard is surrounded by towering maple, white pine, and basswood (Linden) trees. The view of the lake never gets old and the sunrises are absolutely amazing.
