As you pull into the driveway you'll be taken away with the serenity and peace and quiet. Don't be surprised if you see a few deer. As the cabin comes into sight so does the breathtaking view of Big Manistique Lake. Chances are before entering the cabin you'll be drawn to the lakeside. Pull a chair up to the fire pit and let the roasting of s'mores begin! Pour a glass of wine and relax watching the ducks, geese and loons from the screened in porch. Or just sit and enjoy the peace and quiet. Curl up on the couch with a cup of hot chocolate or coffee and watch your favorite show. Sit on the dock and cast a fishing pole. Or enjoy ice fishing. Feel adventurous? Snowmobile and Side x side trails are within 2 miles.
Go sight seeing! Just 15 minutes from Benny the Bearded Troll or Seney Wildlife Refuge. Like golf? JP memorial golf and Pizza is within 10 minutes . Their Pizza is unbelievable! They even have disc golf!
End of the Road Winery is only 5 minutes away! And for your sweet tooth there's Goodales Sweet Shop! Or Moose De Nord for unbelievable ice cream!
Looking to throw back a few or just have a great burger? Talley Ho BBQ in Curtis or The Shipwreck are 5 minutes away.
Don't forget to visit the Garland Zoo or Oswald Bear Ranch! Grand Marais is only 40 minutes away! Pictured Rocks, Tahquamenon Falls, Mackinac Island.
You definitely won't get bored with so many things to see and visit.

Summary: I still consider this a 5 star stay but there are some things I think would be helpful for future guests. 1) There is no place to put anything. No dressers, nor usable closets, no space in the bathroom for anything. You will live out of your suitcase and because there is no room for that either, you will have to get everything put away each time you use it. 2) similar to the above, because the kitchen is well stocked with basic essentials, there is nowhere to put food away. We stayed a full week and either had to store things in the fridge (which is large and very clean) or on the counter. So we had no counter space to work with all week.3) it was very hard to find the property. Our GPS apps did not understand where this was. What would have been very helpful to know is that they have a Totem pole (best description I can offer) at the end of the driveway so look for that. 4) The shower is small. I’m talking tiny. You can’t put your hands over your head or turn around in this thing. Ladies if you want to shave your legs on vacation, think again!Other than those things, this is a nice little cabin. It’s just small so be prepared. Staying a week with 3 adults and a 12 year old was tough. But it’s very clean, well stocked with basics. The porch is lovely, as is the dock. The host was very responsive and the area is quiet but not too isolated.
