This cozy lakefront home will make you fall in love with Ranier and Rainy Lake. Wake up to gentle waves lapping the shore. Relax on the dock in the sun, or grab your rod and fish for smallmouth bass right off the dock–no boat necessary. After you’ve worked up an appetite head a block over to Ranier village.
Favorites in the immediate area:
Cantilever Distillery has a full service bar, restaurant, and spirit distillery: tours available also, and you’ll want to see this new construction operation.
Rainy Lake Grill has the best food in the area, and also a full service bar.
Loony’s Brew is an on/off sale bar/ beer distiller with a ton of choices–Their wild blueberry beer is amazing, try a glass and grab a growler to go. They also host live music and karaoke! Darts and pool tables also.
Tara’s Wharf has fresh ice cream by the scoop, a perfect dessert.
Another block away is the Ranier Muni, the municipal bar and a favorite of locals. Great for a friendly conversation or a game of darts or pool.
A short drive away is Voyageurs National Park, which has guided boat tours, great scenic hiking and biking trails, and much more.
There are many boat launches in the area, including just across the bay a block and a half walk, between Loony’s and Tara’s Wharf.
In the evening have a fire in the fire pit (wood included) and make smores. Enjoy the blackout curtains and sleep in. If only every day could be so good.
